  • This was such an amazing weekend of learning!  This course was so well thought out and informative.  There was a special focus on pre & post natal anatomy, adeptly weaving pilates principles into working with pre and post natal women and mapping out trimester changes and exercise recommendations, including cueing and class planning.

Sabrina and Julie provided just the right balance of lecture coupled with hands-on learning opportunities. Being in the room with fellow instructors allowed us to have immediate practice with assessing bodies and practicing exercise modifications.  The highlight was a session with Dr. Casey Smith, DPT and the opportunity for conversation and Q&A that followed. This course has equipped me to feel confident in supporting this very important population!

  • As a mom (and military spouse), being part of NIT was so much more than the certification. It allowed me to pursue something for me! It was flexible and allowed me to work around my family’s schedule. Even my husband and one of my sons got involved in my practice hours, which allowed for both family time while also pursuing my certifications. Highly recommend NIT for any moms looking to do something for themselves that still allows flexibility to be there for their family when needed.

  • This course gave me so much real and empowering information about working safely and effectively with pre and postnatal clients. It gives an excellent framework for how to make their group class experience seamless, as well as providing them with deeper insights during private sessions. The most unique and beneficial part of the course was speaking with a medical expert in pelvic heath. I now feel very confident when approaching proper instruction for new or expecting mamas, in either a private or group class setting!

Their expertise and warmth make complex perinatal modifications feel approachable and safe. I learned how to thoughtfully modify exercises for each trimester, manage breathwork, and identify red flags while keeping classes inclusive and empowering. Their emphasis on communication and practical class planning left me feeling fully equipped to welcome and progress perinatal clients with confidence.

  • The pre and postnatal instructor training program was an incredibly valuable experience for growing my knowledge, confidence and skills as a Pilates instructor. Participating in the in person training allowed me to receive a hands-on approach to learning with opportunities to practice observation and teaching techniques while receiving thoughtful feedback; combined with the online learning modules to support my learning experience. Throughout the in person training and online material, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of anatomy, changes within the body during pre and post natal stages, movement adaptations, contraindications, core function, pressure management and how to be a supportive instructor to this client population. The program gave me practical tools and strategies to confidently cue, modify and program sessions for clients across all stages of pregnancy and postpartum.

The instructors were extremely knowledgeable, supportive and encouraging throughout the program. Their expertise, combined with the welcoming learning environment made it easy to ask questions, explore new approaches and continue growing as an instructor.

I completed the program feeling more confident in my ability to support clients throughout their prenatal and postpartum journey, equipped with the knowledge to help clients feel successful, confident and safe in both group classes and private sessions. This program was an excellent combination of education, hands-on practice and supportive feedback. I would highly recommend this program to instructors looking to expand their knowledge and skill set in working with this client population.
